The horse is God's gift to mankind. ~Arabian Proverb
Princess came to us in about 1997, my Dad rescued her from a yard of a number of other horses all destined to go to the knackers for dog meat. Dad paid $500 for her and her daughter, Violet who was barely a year old at the time, and unbeknownst
to us she was in foal with sweet little Matilda.
When she arrived she was covered in fleas, and her coat was dull and shaggy. Dad had been told she was about eight years old. But now as I look back on the photos, I think she would have been lucky to be three.
Matilda was born the day before my birthday: I remember it clearly: Mom smiling and telling me that there was a surprise waiting for me in the yard. Full of excitement I asked 'what is it?' But Mom just grinned and replied 'wait and see'. When we finally got there: waiting in the yard was the most beautiful little dun filly with one sock a star on her forehead!
Currently Princess is retired and she and her daughters are playing wild ponies out in the paddock, galloping around and enjoying life to the fullest...

Ernie’s Story…
Ernie is a draft cross (possibly Belgian?). He is a ‘By-Product’ of a PMU farm in Pennsylvania. He was taken in by ‘Another Chance for Horses’ and spared from becoming some ones meal on a dinner plate. I fist saw Ernie in a ‘YouTube’ video, along with Betsey (who is still with Ernie) and Thelma & Louise (who live next door to Ernie & Betsey). His gentle nature and beautiful eyes called out to me. I purchased him and he went to Summersville Missouri USA to , his foster home.

RIP
Sunshine was Scarlet and Tilly's mom, who tragically died of botulism in 2004.
Tilly Beany was only seven weeks old when she died, and had to be bottle fed.
